Senior Dining Association

In 2019, senior dining professionals learned what four days of food, education and networking can accomplish. The Senior Dining Association’s first conference and expo was the first meeting focused entirely on the needs and challenges of the senior dining industry, and attendees walked away with valuable insights, new allies and a renewed commitment to senior dining.

In 2020, we’re going to go bigger and better. Join us in Orlando next April for the SDA’s Second Annual Conference & Expo.

Learn about trends and best practices from the industry’s leading experts. Share your own experience and insights at chats and round-table discussions. Network with peers from across the country as you enjoy great food and drink from cooking and mixology demonstrations.

The conference and expo are a perfect opportunity to get recharged as you gather with people who are as passionate about senior dining as you are. Whatever your greatest challenge—from staff retention to technology to marketing to working effectively with your nursing department—you’ll meet others who have faced that same challenge and found a creative solution. And of course you’ll get a chance to share your own creative solutions!

The SDA Second Annual Conference & Expo will take place April 26-29 at the Renaissance Orlando At SeaWorld. Sign up here for conference updates.

What our attendees say:

"I’ve been to a lot of conferences and shows

in my career and thought that the SDA

Conference was hands down the most

relevant and useful event that I’ve attended.

I’m planning on bringing some of our chefs to

next year's event."

Gary McBlain

National Director of Culinary Services

AMICA Senior Lifestyles

"I wanted to take a moment and personally

“Thank you & your team” for one of the best

conferences that I have attended in my career.

This really hit home to our industry and the

focus of senior living and how proud we are for

what we do. My team was very engaged and

could not stop talking about it."

Bob Raymond

Vice President Procurement &

Dining Services

Commonwealth Senior Living

"The programs and panel discussions were

well done and everyone on my team had

several takeaways from the round table

discussions. It was all of the things a

conference should be. It was educational with

great networking all wrapped around fun

Acts Retirement-Life Communities

“I’ve got to take away from this an understanding of what other communities are looking for and what their issues are.”

Vanessa Potter

Vice President, Finance and Operations

Christenson Communities

Alberta, Canada

“We’ve learned a lot, had a lot of great conversations, a lot of takeaways from food and beverage professionals in different communities.

The sessions have been very interactive, and I’ve learned a tremendous amount since I’ve been here.”

Reginald Stephens

Director of Dining Services

Roland Park Place

Baltimore, Maryland

“The thing that I’ve taken away from this is we’re all in this together. We all are experiencing the same things. You’re at your community, and you think you’re the only one experiencing this certain problem that you have, and you come to this, and everyone is going through the same thing. So, there were a lot of best practices shared, a lot of shared experiences that have been great.”
