Due to the mounting concern as COVID-19 spreads and with CDC recommending canceling events with 50 or more people, SDA has made the decision to postpone the 2nd Annual Conference and Expo in April. The health and safety of our members, industry partners, attendees, and the residents you care for are our highest priority.
We are working with the hotel to reschedule the conference between mid-August through September. Our Hotel will remain at the same location, Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld.
Please share this message with any company representatives who may have been attending this meeting on your behalf. We understand you might have questions or concerns and the SDA will communicate next steps in the coming weeks.
We are looking forward to celebrating with you at a later date in 2020. After weeks of combatting COVID-19, we know our members and partners will look forward to this well-deserved getaway.
Please stay tuned for details regarding the new dates in the next few weeks.
We wish all of you good health along with safe and better days ahead as this situation will hopefully become more manageable soon. Thank you.

In order to ensure we communicate the change in date with the highest efficiency please let us know your questions or concerns you may have .
In 2019, senior dining professionals learned what four days of food, education and networking can accomplish. The Senior Dining Association’s first conference and expo was the first meeting focused entirely on the needs and challenges of the senior dining industry, and attendees walked away with valuable insights, new allies and a renewed commitment to senior dining.
In 2020, we’re going to go bigger and better. Join us in Orlando next April for the SDA’s Second Annual Conference & Expo.
Learn about trends and best practices from the industry’s leading experts. Share your own experience and insights at chats and roundtable discussions. Network with peers from across the country as you enjoy great food and drink from cooking and mixology demonstrations.
The conference and expo are a perfect opportunity to get recharged as you gather with people who are as passionate about senior dining as you are. Whatever your greatest challenge—from staff retention to technology to marketing to working effectively with your nursing department—you’ll meet others who have faced that same challenge and found a creative solution. And of course you’ll get a chance to share your own creative solutions!
We are going to celebrate together Tuesday night at Seaworld. The SDA wants to show the same hospitality you give your guests daily to all of our conference attendees. Let's unwind and enjoy the experience together.

“The thing that I’ve taken away from this is we’re all in this together. We all are experiencing the same things. You’re at your community, and you think you’re the only one experiencing this certain problem that you have, and you come to this, and everyone is going through the same thing. So, there were a lot of best practices shared,
